How much do you think a dog trainer will cost?

I have a 2 yr old chihuahua/ maltese mix and i want her to become more social. shes 7lbs and only gets along with dogs who are smaller then her shes great with kids but barks at adults who come over th ehouse. she goes crazy when the bell rings. When we take her to the vet she starts to shake like crazy and becomes miserable.I think the biggest problem is her barking it really gets on my nerves sometimes because its so high pitched.

I have two small breed puppies, one is 10 months old and the other is 3 months old. I had been feeding them Hill’s Science Diet (the puppy kind), but my dog trainer told me the its main ingredient is corn, which supposely is not that healthy for dogs. So I started to feed them Nutro’s Natural Choice (also the puppy kind). But while I was transitioning them from one brand to the other I noticed that they really loved eating the mixed foods and they had become more “regular” in their elimination. They seem so happy that I was wondering if there is any harm in keep feeding them the two brands mixed together as their permanent food source. Has anybody has ever done this before? Is it ok? I want to become a dog walker?

I am 25 and looking to become a part time dog walker to help pay down some of my student loans. I love dogs, well animals in general. I have a 3mo old pup of my own (have owned dogs before but never had my own dog) and I have had people tell me that I should look into being a dog trainer after seeing how well my pup behaves, along with other dogs I have trained. I figured maybe I would like to start as a dog walker and maybe get into the dog training later. I am not sure what I should charge. I am sure that I would like to plan on a 45min stay that would include a 30min walk along with checking food or whatever else the owner may want. I figured I would get a binder and then make client forms that would have dogs info (name, breed, weight, allergies, meds) along with owners info, special instructions, vet info, emergency vet info-stuff like that. I make my own dog treats and figured maybe I could somehow make some extra cash off this too by selling my own treats. Is there anything else I should check into? The only thing I am worried is what happens if the dog hurts himself under my care or runs off? I don’t want to get insurance for this. I would hate if that were to happen. Any advice would be appericated!

i am looking into a career with dogs and I’ve visited a dog sledding tour guide service in Albert Canada and now I’m hooked and want to get a career linked with dog sledding. There isn’t really much info as a career on this type of job but is there really any college classes to take to become a dog trainer or is it more just intern type career?

For my whole life I never knew what I wanted to be, and now I know, so I’m very excited and driven! I really would enjoy this job, and I want to get a head start on it. So please help me out, this is very important to me and I would greatly appreciate it!
I am a 14 year old 8th grade girl. I own one dog, but have had several in the past so I have some experience with dogs. Can anybody point me in the right direction? Such as:
- Where should I do volunteer work?
- What kind of classes should I take?
- Do you know of any good books or DVD’s I could watch?
- What would be a good college for me to go to?
- How much do they make?
- Do they get alot of business?
- What are the pros and cons of this job?
- I would also love to hear from other dog behaviorists and trainers if there are any on this site.
- I would appreciate any other information relating to this!
